Gina C. James, CPA, CGMA

As the owner of EHC Certified Public Accountants since December of 2007, Gina has over 20 years accounting experience serving employers in the Kansas City and surrounding area. She has worked with a variety of businesses, ranging from golf, hospitality, insurance, banking and real estate. She is a Class of 2000, magna cum laude graduate of Park University in Parkville, Missouri.  Gina passed the CPA exam and became a licensed CPA in 2004.  Gina is also a Certified QuickBooks ® ProAdvisor and has trained extensively to become an expert to better serve her clients.

Gina currently serves her community as a Board Member at Large for the Parkville Chamber of Commerce, she is also the current Treasurer of the Parkville Economic Development Council and enjoys staying active in her community as a business leader.  She is also a Past-President of the Kansas City Chapter of the Missouri Society of CPA’s and is a member of the organization’s Firm Leadership Committee. She is currently a member in good standing of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She holds an active CPA license in Missouri and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant with the AICPA. When time allows, Gina enjoys leisure time with her two young children, her husband, family and friends, traveling, golfing, hiking trails and cheering on the KC Chiefs.

DSC_0136Mary J. Hayslett, CPA

As one of the founding partners of EHC Certified Public Accountants, Mary brings a wealth of experience and skill to the firm. Mary began her career in Iowa after graduating with honors from the University of Iowa, Iowa City. She offers 30 years of combined public accounting and industry experience. Mary passed the CPA exam in 1980 and has worked with a variety of businesses, including Home Construction, Computax (a tax preparation software and database service), manufacturing, HUD financed real estate investment partnerships, real estate development and construction, hospitality and golf.

Mary is a noted speaker at tax software training symposiums, has published software instruction manuals and provided programming specs for Corporate Tax software. She’s also taught community and college courses. Mary serves frequently as a volunteer to her community and church. She currently serves as the Secretary for the Parkville Economic Development Council, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of CPA’s. Mary and her husband, Jeff, have been happily married for over 35 years, raising two sons, in the Northland of Kansas City, Missouri.

Julie N. Brown, CPA, Management Services Specialist

Julie is a dedicated CPA serving the needs of golf clubs, restaurants and the construction industry in Kansas City. She has over seven years of golf industry experience, since becoming a CPA in 1993. She has excelled at all the monthly reconciliations unique to Golf Club General Ledgers, as well as preparation of financial statements and generation of year-end tax statements. She has over 14 years of experience in Construction Accounting, working with specialized software programs like Timberline. She has built her career on serving the needs of private companies’ internal financial reporting. She is a graduate of William Jewell College, a Certified QuickBooks ® ProAdvisor and an active member of her community.

 

amyAmy L. Larsen, Staff Accountant

Amy comes to EHC with 10 years of accounting experience.  She has worked with a variety of businesses including construction, landscaping, retail, real estate management, and legal services.  Amy completed her Bachelor’s in Business Administration with and emphasis in Finance at the University of Central Missouri in 2006.  She graduated in 2015 with her Master’s of Science in Accounting from the University of Missouri, Kansas City.  She is currently working toward the CPA designation.  Outside of the office, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, friends and family, cooking, gardening and traveling.

 

 

 

Annette M. Silvio, Office Manager/Payroll Specialist

Annette is a valuable asset to the team, bringing expertise in small business that she fine tuned working for five years as the Parkville Chamber of Commerce Executive Director.  Annette understands the facets of starting a small business and knows what it takes to not only make it, but to be successful.  Keeping EHC clients and the firm organized is one of Annette’s many talents.  Her other business experiences include the fields of trucking and transportation and hospitality.  In her spare time, Annette enjoys watching her boys play football and relaxing with her family.

 

 

 

Kendra Emmons, Administrative Assistant

Kendra brings over 5 years of customer service experience to our team. She holds an Associate of Arts from Metropolitan Community College Maple Woods and plans to pursue higher education in the near future. Outside of the professional realm, she is the pet parent of a German Shepherd Mix, Madie, and two cats, Ayden and Mittens. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, the fine arts, and binge watching TV shows or movies.
